Zebra Uno is an innovative company specialising in Deaf media and training. The company is run by two Deaf directors, who are vastly qualified and have extensive experience in this field and as trainers. The services are targeted to enable Deaf people to access the media through British Sign Language (BSL) as part of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), to comply and improve access for Deaf people in all areas of life and to provide training for Deaf individuals at a professional standard. The training provided and delivered increases awareness between Deaf and Hearing communities. It is here that we aim to break down the barriers and enable Deaf and Hearing communities to work together.
Zebra Access
Alongside Zebra-Uno’s work and expertise, there has been a need to develop and provide opportunities for Deaf people in areas where they appear less fortunate and where charitable organisations are underprivileged to access Deaf related training due to financial impediments. As a result of this, both directors in June 2005 established Zebra Access to resolve the barriers that many Deaf individuals face and to provide a gateway to charitable organisations.
