Wolverhampton’s Art Gallery launches British Sign Language access on website

Wolverhampton Art Gallery saw the need to provide a more accessible website and so joined forces with Zebra, a company specialising in Media and Communication solutions. Zebra’s filming and production of BSL videos onto Wolverhampton Art Gallery’s website provides Deaf people accessibility in their first language.

This opportunity can only be seen as a positive move, as well as a boast for business as the needs of the Deaf community are meet.
 In addition to this, Deaf people can access a tour of the NEW Pop Art Gallery, which too features BSL interpretations.

1940s War Memories presented by Deaf BSL Users at Bantock House’s Museum

A stroll down memory lane, as Zebra filmed and produced a video of local Wolverhampton Deaf people presenting their stones and memories from the second world war.

Stories, full of fascinating experiences and interesting insights was available to view, as Bantock House dedicated a celebratory day with a 1940s theme.

British Sign Language access on Museum’s website and PDA guide

Wolverhampton’s Bantock House website and PDA’s guide is launched at their BSL Welcome Day! 

Working in partnershop with Bantock House Museum, Zebra have produced high quality translated materials into British Sign Language for both Website and PDA. This access provision enables Deaf vistors to access information about the museum and learn all about the history and tour the captivating building.

Zebra Access success with Media-Box bid!

Successful in their bid to secure funding from Media Box, Zebra is developing a unique Filmmakers Media training project for Young Deaf People aged between 16 and 25 years. Zebra celebrates its 4th anniversary at the Creative Industries Centre where their office is based. This was an entertaining night with several members of the Deaf community from Wolverhampton who joined in the celebration of Zebra’s successes over the years!

April 2008 launches the Rock n Roll Charity Ball in Birmingham, where Zebra-Uno has agreed to support this important event.

The event aims to bring awareness of the medical condition PWSA and seeks financial assistance from members of the public by the use of purchasing tickets.
